Dog Grooming Az
Would a canaan dog, norwegian buhund, bernese mountain dog or appenzeller sennenhund do okay in AZ?
I’m moving to Queen Creek,arizona. its a nice neighborhood, but the houses are somewhat close, about 6 to 8 feet apart. I have a cat and two hamsters. my cat is male, and both hamsters are female. my house that I’m moving into is about 1850 square feet and theres a medium yard (20 feet long, 8 feet wide) plus a fenced front yard, about ten feet long and five feet wide. My top dog breeds so far are the ones listed in my question. (canaan dog, norwegian buhund, bernese, appenzeller sennenhund-appenzeller mountain dog, sometimes swedish mountain dog-) there are no kids in my house, just a teen (me) and my mom. We just want a nice family dog. we dont want an excessive barker, either. we dont care about excersize requirements or grooming requirements (my mom does the ironman every year so taking a dog on her jogs woudnt be a problem for her and if its a slower dog i can do walks, and grooming wouldnt bother me) if you have any breeds, please recommend them.
Bernese Mtn Dogs are EXTREMELY heat sensitive. They’re not the best choice for Arizona.
My recommendation would be the Canaan Dog as they are more heat tolerant due to their point of origin.
