I want to learn to spay/neuter, how & do you have to be licensed? Where can I find a school or class near me?

Hi, I’m doing online Vet Assistant classes & in Dog Grooming School during the week…but I really love animals, and like to volunteer & donate items. But, I want to help out more…I want to offer free spaying & neutering to encourage people to get it done…but where can I learn how, do you have to be licensed, is it a school you go too? Please someone help! I really want to do this. I’m located about 30mins from Charlotte, NC

Spaying and neutering is surgery and legally, only a licensed veterinarian can perform surgery on an animal. You can not just learn to do it. You will have to go to vet school and that means 8 years of school.
