got 2004 monte,a$100 harness for dvd deck,can i install it myself or is it complicatd Class2 data buss adapter
so i know i need the 100 dollar wire harness i just need to know how easy it is to install it and how do you install it any good websites that will take you step by step also i need to know how to install the dvd feature so it isnt conntected to the break petal the wire harness is a class 2 data buss adapter

i dont know about the wire harness your talking about, the tech at circuit city said i would loose alot of options not just the door chime…my lights might flash off and on, and i will loose my security display on the dash and my low fuel light would always be on…but please let me know what i can do

The adapter you need is an GMRC01. The harness allows you to power up an aftermarket deck and it also keeps your door chime. On a lot of GM cars the door chimes through the speakers. It might cost $100 retail but wholesale no way that high. It is about $65 wholesale. As far a connection goes it is very straight forward. The harness and the DVD deck have instructions on what cable to put where. Just match them up. Red to red Yellow to yellow White to white and so on.
By passing the brake pedal depends on the DVD unit. Let me know what model and I will let you know how to do it.
